Spreadtrum Communications (Nasdaq: SPRD) 35% LOWER; reports Q4 loss of $1.19, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.19). Revenue for the quarter was $10.2 million, versus the consensus of $10.09 million. Also reported results for Q109: a loss of $0.19 per share on sales of $8.2 million. Sees Q2 sales of $10-$14 million.
DSW Inc. (NYSE: DSW) 10.6% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.16, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.16. Revenue for the quarter was $385.8 million, versus the consensus of $382.75 million. Sees FY10 EPS of $0.30-$0.35, versus the consensus of $0.46.
Blue Coat Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: BCSI) 10.3% LOWER; today announced that its earnings announcement for the fourth quarter ended April 30, 2009, originally scheduled for today, May 27, 2009, will be postponed in order to enable the company to complete its financial statements for the period. The company said that it is conducting additional procedures as a result of a recently identified irregularity with a single shipment in its European operations. The company will announce a new date for the earnings announcement, which it expects will occur during the week of June 1, 2009.
Magma Design Automation, Inc. (Nasdaq: LAVA) 10% HIGHER; reports Q4 non-GAAP EPS of $0.07, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.02. Revenue for the quarter was $34.1 million, versus the consensus of $33.75 million. Sees Q1 loss of $0.19-$0.20, or breakeven to a gain of $0.01 on a non-GAAP basis, on sales of $27.5-$28.5 million. Sees FY10 loss of $0.68-$0.70, or a gain of $0.01-$0.03 on a non-GAAP basis, with sales in the range of $120-$125 million.
Diamond Foods, Inc. (Nasdaq: DMND) 5.7% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.16, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.14. Revenue for the quarter was $111 million, versus the consensus of $104.25 million. Raises FY09 EPS guidance to $1.31-$1.36, versus the consensus of $1.35.
Longtop Financial Technologies (NYSE: LFT) 4.2% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.21, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.18. Revenue for the quarter was $25.9 million, versus the consensus of $23.98 million. Sees Q1 sales of about $27 million, with adj-EPS of $0.20. For FY10, sees sales of about $142 million with adj-EPS of $1.20.
McMoRan Exploration Co. (NYSE: MMR) 4% LOWER; today updated its Gulf of Mexico exploration and production activities, including results from the Ammazzo exploratory well, drilling at the Cordage and Blueberry Hill deep gas prospects, plans for the Davy Jones and the Blackbeard West ultra-deep prospects and a status report on the Flatrock Field. Coldwater Creek (Nasdaq: CWTR) 3% HIGHER; reports Q1 loss of $0.08, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.14). Revenue for the quarter was $228.4 million, versus the consensus of $234.95 million. Coldwater Creek sees a loss for Q2 and sees sequential improvement from the first quarter.
