Telefónica S.A. (NYSE: TEF) said working on plans for an IPO of O2, according to the Financial Times.
Telefónica is currently in talks with banks about the matter and may float O2 shares in London, sources said. Telefónica is expected to retain a stake in the business.
The move comes following antitrust regulators blocking a move for CK Hutchison to acquire O2 last month.
