Grupo Financiero Santander México, S.A.B. de C.V. (NYSE: BSMX) filed a registration with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for an Initial Public Offering of its American Depository Shares (ADSs). The proposed maximum offering price is $100 million. Grupo Financiero Santander filed to list on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker "BSMX."

The offering will be made through Santander, UBS Investment Bank, Deutsche Bank Securities, BofA Merrill Lynch, Barclays, Goldman, Sachs & Co., Citigroup, J.P. Morgan, Credit Suisse, and RBC Capital Markets.

Grupo Financiero Santander is the second largest financial services holding company in Mexico based on net income and the fourth largest financial services holding company in Mexico based on total assets, loans and deposits as of June 30, 2012, in each case as determined in accordance with Mexican Banking GAAP, according to information published by the Mexican National Banking and Securities Commission (Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores, or CNBV).
