GCL Silicon Technology Holdings Inc. (NYSE: GCL) filed a registration statement with the SEC for an initial public offering of its common stock. The proposed maximum aggregate offering price is $862.5 million. The company plans to list on the NYSE under the symbol "GCL".
The offering is being made through Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse, HSBC, Cowen and Company and Piper Jaffray.
GCL Silicon Technology supplies polysilicon and wafers to companies operating in the solar industry. Polysilicon is the primary raw material for wafers used in the solar and electronics industries.
