Investors in Arch Coal (NYSE: ACI) are cheering Monday morning as two firms have upgraded the stock following Friday morning's Q2 results and the resulting 30 percent surge in the stock.

Sterne, Agee & Leach boosted the investment rating on Arch Coal from Neutral to Buy and maintained a $15 price target. An analyst at Global Hunter also upgraded the stock from Neutral to Buy.
