Lehman Brothers (LEH) Receives Two Bids For Its Neuberger Berman Unit
Lehman Brothers (NYSE: LEH) so far has received two bids for its asset-management unit from private-equity firms including Bain Capital LLC and Clayton Dubilier & Rice Inc., people close to the situation told Bloomberg.
Bloomberg said sources told them that the bids value Lehman's asset management unit, including Neuberger Berman, PE funds and a brokerage firm serving wealthy individuals, at about $5 billion. KKR & Co. hadn't made a bid by the 5 p.m. deadline.
