Homebuilders Very Strong as Toll's Better-Than-Expected Results Bode Well for the Group (TOL, XHB, DHI, LEN, more)

The majority of the homebuilding group is moving sharply higher today following Toll Brothers (NYSE: TOL) strong preliminary Q4 results, reported in a Form 8-K which was filed last night after the market closed. The SPDR S&P Homebuilders ETF (NYSE: XHB), commonly referred to as just "the XHB", is up more than 3% today, while, just an hour before the closing bell, shares of Toll are up more than 17%.

Notably, Toll Brothers' management started a conference call at 2pm ET. Stay tuned for updates from the call.

  • DR Horton (NYSE: DHI) up 6.4% to $12.44
  • Lennar (NYSE: LEN) up 6.6% to $15.24
  • Pulte Homes (NYSE: PHM) up 7.9% to $10.21
  • KB Home (NYSE: KBH) up 6.4% to $15.62
  • Ryland (NYSE: RYL) up 5.9% to $20.19
