Delta Air Lines (DAL) Considering a Bid for US Airways (LCC) - WSJ
Shares of US Airways Group, Inc. (NYSE: LCC) are moving nearly 5 percent higher after-hours Friday following late reports from the Wall Street Journal that rival Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) is weighing a bid.
This news follows earlier reports that Delta was looking at the assets of bankrupt AMR Corp (OTC: AAMRQ), the parent of American Airlines.
Delta has not yet submitted a bid for US Airways, the report said.
