Various news reports indicate Cerberus Capital has an agreement to acquire DaimlerChrysler's (NYSE: DCX) Chrysler unit for an undisclosed amount.
The sale is contingent on final terms negotiated with DaimlerChrysler and a formal announcement is expected tomorrow.
DCX is said to have chosen Cerberus over bids by rival Blackstone Group and Magna International Inc. (NYSE: MGA).
