"It's almost here."

This is what a new invitation from Apple, Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) reads. The event, scheduled for September 12th at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco, all but confirms the release of the much-anticipated iPhone 5.

The shadow of the 12 in the invitation shows a "5."

The new phone is expected by many to be the largest product launch in Apple's history, by far.

Shares of Apple are up 0.44 percent to $668.17.
