Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) Tops Q1 EPS by 1c; Issues Light Q2, FY15 EPS Outlook

Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ) reported Q1 EPS of $0.92, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.91. Revenue for the quarter came in at $26.8 billion versus the consensus estimate of $27.35 billion.

"With the first quarter of fiscal 2015 now behind us, the HP turnaround remains on track," said Meg Whitman, chairman, president and chief executive officer, HP. "We grew operating profit margins across all of our major business segments, increased investment in innovation, and executed well across key areas of our portfolio and in our separation activities. Our progress continues as we head into Q2."

Hewlett-Packard sees Q2 2015 EPS of $0.84-$0.88, versus the consensus of $0.92.

Hewlett-Packard sees FY2015 EPS of $3.53-$3.73, versus the consensus of $3.95.
