Jim Chanos Talks Longs, Shorts on CNBC

Noted short seller Jim Chanos, principal of Kynikos Associates, was speaking on CNBC this morning. Chanos said his short on China has been reduced, with about 20 percent of overall global short fund concentrated in China.

Some names Chanos said he continues to be short Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ). Names Chanos is long include JPMorgan (NYSE: JPM), Citigroup (NYSE: C), Oracle (Nasdaq: ORCL), and Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT). Chanos noted that his Oracle long is a hedge against his H-P short.

For China, Chanos noted once again that corporate profits are imploding. He's also seeing corporate capital move out of China.
