Toyota (TM) Sees October Unit Sales in 10.3-10.5M Range
Currently speaking to the press in Detroit, Toyota's (NYSE: TM) U.S. General Manager, Bob Carter, gave some unit sales guidance for October:
- in the range of 10.3-10.5 million range, up a single digit rate from September to October, but down a single digit percentage from October of last year. Also said that analyst's estimates for a 1 million unit gain next year is "in line".
- during Q4, marketing spending will exceed $1 billion.
- sees U.S. sales next year possibly reaching 11.5-11.7 million units.
- going on "offense" after being on "defense".
