Ingersoll-Rand (IR) Tops Q2 EPS by 23c; Boosts FY12 Outlook; Guides Q3

Ingersoll-Rand (NYSE: IR) reported Q2 EPS of $1.14, $0.23 better than the analyst estimate of $0.91. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.82 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.89 billion.

Ingersoll-Rand sees FY2012 EPS of $3.15-$3.25, versus prior guidance of $2.90-$3.10 and the consensus of $3.02. Sees FY2012 revenue of $14.0-$14.2 billion, versus the consensus of $14.4 billion.

Sees Q312 EPS of $0.95-$1.00 and revenue of $3.6-$3.7 billion. The Street sees EPS of $0.95 and revs of $3.76 billion.
