According to an 8-K filing, Ford (NYSE: F) is saying international losses would triple in the second quarter.
Ford's CFO mentioned the possible closing of a European plant if the pain persists. Specifically mentioned was Ford South America, which is facing growing competition and pricing pressures, Ford Europe, which has deteriorated significantly. For Asia Pacific, the company continues to invest and pay for future growth.
Overall, the company sees a profitable Q2, with Ford N. America and Ford Credit offsetting outside operations.
