American Eagle (AEO) Jumps On Stronger Outlook

American Eagle (NYSE: AEO) is rising 7 percent in pre-open action Wednesday after raising its Q1 outlook.

American Eagle lifted its Q1 EPS guidance from 8-10 cents to 18-20 cents, which compares to the Street estimate of 10 cents. The company said it sees FY12 EPS of $1.06-$1.12, which compares to the Street estimate of $1.07.

The good news may also spill over to peers like Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (ANF), Aeropostale, Inc. (NYSE: ARO), Buckle Inc. (NYSE: BKE) and Gap (NYSE: GPS).
