AT&T Customers Get More Mobile Broadband Coverage in the Reading Area

READING, Pa., Nov. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- As part of its continuing network investment to support growing demand for advanced mobile devices and applications, AT&T* today announced the activation of a new third generation (3G) cell site in the Reading area that will enhance coverage for area residents and businesses along Friedensburg Road, Wegman Road and Church Lane Road, as well as in the Village of Oley and nearby areas of Alsace and Oley Townships. AT&T has also added 3G technology to sixteen existing cell sites in the Lancaster and York areas to further extend the reach of the 3G network in the region.

The new cell site is one part of AT&T's ongoing efforts to drive innovation and extend its 3G wireless network - the fastest in the nation, according to independent testing. It is also part of AT&T's ongoing investment in Pennsylvania to build the broadband networks that will fuel economic growth and create jobs, and enable its customers to quickly access the content, applications and services that matter most to them.
