U.S. Bank Earnings Rise 21% in Q2, Problem Banks Drops Again - FDIC

The FDIC said U.S. bank earnings were up 21% in Q2 and asset quality improved.

The problem bank list fell for the fifth straight quarter from 772 to 732.
