RR Donnelley & Sons Co. (Nasdaq: RRD) is in focus today ahead of quarterly results from search giant Google, Inc. (Nasdaq: GOOG).
Last October, Google investors were treated to a surprise report from Google for third-quarter 2012 results. Not that Google issued a surprise beat or outstanding guidance, rather results came out over three hours ahead of schedule.
Google placed blame on Donnelley, saying the firm filed an 8-K without authorization.
It may have been a one-off occurrence, but still worth noting as Google preps for its quarterly call at 4:30pm EST today.
