Pre-Open Movers 6/25: Dean Foods (DF) Higher After Raised Guidance, Apogee (APOG) Lower on Results

Empire Resorts Inc. (NASDAQ: NYNY) 15% HIGHER; New York Approves Development of $1B Concord Resort

Apogee Enterprises, Inc. (Nasdaq: APOG) 11% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.36, 7 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.43. Revenues for the quarter were $238.5 million, versus the consensus of $240.38 million. Reaffirms its previously issued FY09 EPS guidance of $1.82-$1.94, versus the consensus of $1.87. Revenue growth for the year is expected to be 12-15%.

Jabil Circuit, Inc. (NYSE: JBL) 9% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.26, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.20. Revenues for the quarter were $3.1 billion, versus the consensus of $3.09 billion. Sees Q4 EPS of $0.29-$0.33, versus the consensus of $0.29. Q4 revs are expected to be $3.2-$3.3 billion, versus the consensus of $3.2 billion.

IONA Technologies plc (NASDAQ: IONA) 8% HIGHER; Progress Software Corporation (NASDAQ: PRGS) and IONA Technologies plc jointly announced that they have signed a definitive agreement under which Progress Software has agreed to acquire IONA for $4.05 per share in cash. IONA closed at $3.60 yesterday.

Sonic Corp. (Nasdaq: SONC) 7% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.28, 3 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.31. Revenues for the quarter were $213 million, versus the consensus of $219.95 million. Same store sales during the quarter fell 0.4%. Sees FY08 EPS up 4-6%, versus FY07 EPS of $0.96. Same store sales are expected to grow 2-4%.

Dean Foods Company (NYSE: DF) 6.6% HIGHER; said results for the second quarter 30 are expected to exceed the Company's previously issued guidance of $0.26 to $0.31 per diluted adjusted share. The Company now expects adjusted diluted earnings for the second quarter to be at least $0.32 per share. The consensus is $0.29. CEO Engles said, "Our DSD Dairy business is performing particularly well in the second quarter." Dean Foods is also reaffirming full year guidance for at least $1.20 per share in adjusted earnings.

Barclays plc (NYSE: BCS) 5% HIGHER; The UK bank announced plans to sell 4.5 billion pounds ($8.9 billion) of equity to shore up its capital base after major write-downs. The company will issue 1.58 billion new shares to investors in Qatar, Singapore, China and Japan.

CBRE Realty Finance, Inc. (NYSE: CBF) 5% HIGHER; announced that its Board has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.10 per common share, payable on July 17 to shareholders of record on June 30. The dividend represents a 33% decrease in its dividend of $0.15 last quarter.

3Com Corp (Nasdaq: COMS) 4% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.09, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.05. Revenues for the quarter were $321.3 million, versus the consensus of $315.23 million

Nasdaq OMX Group Inc (Nasdaq: NDAQ) 4% HIGHER; Piper upgrades to Buy

EMCOR Group, Inc. (NYSE: EME) 4% HIGHER; raised its financial guidance for the 2008 full year period.  The Company now expects revenues for the 2008 full year period to be in the range of $6.8 billion to $7.0 billion and diluted earnings per share for 2008 to be in the range of $2.22 to $2.42. The Company's previous financial guidance indicated revenues of $6.3 billion to $6.5 billion and diluted earnings per share of $2.08 to $2.28. The consensus is $6.76 billion and $2.31.

Silicon Laboratories Inc. (Nasdaq: SLAB) 4% HIGHER; raised second quarter revenue guidance to $102 to $104 million, up from $98 to $101 million. The company cited stronger than expected demand, particularly in the voice and embedded modem businesses (cons is $100M). Based on increased revenue expectations, non-GAAP diluted earnings per share are expected to increase to $0.40 to $0.42 compared to previous guidance of $0.37 to $0.39 (cons is $0.38)

MasterCard (NYSE: MA) 3.5% HIGHER; Settles Litigation With American Express (AXP); Will Take a Second Quarter After-Tax Charge of Approximately $1 Billion

Williams (NYSE: WMB) 3% HIGHER; increased its consolidated segment profit and earnings per share guidance for 2008 and 2009. Williams has increased its 2008 consolidated recurring segment profit guidance to a range of $3.1 billion to $3.65 billion and earnings per share to a range of $2.30 to $2.80. The previous ranges were $2.5 billion to $3.0 billion and $1.70 to $2.10, respectively. For 2009, Williams has increased its consolidated segment profit guidance to a range of $2.9 billion to $3.8 billion and earnings per share to a range of $2.05 to $2.90. The previous ranges were $2.6 billion to $3.2 billion and $1.80 to $2.30, respectively.

Evergreen Solar (Nasdaq: ESLR) 3% HIGHER; announced that it has filed a universal shelf registration statement on Form S-3 with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (the "SEC") pursuant to which it intends to offer, subject to market and other conditions, $300 million aggregate principal amount of senior convertible notes due 2013.

Boeing Co. (NYSE:BA) 3% LOWER; Goldman downgrades to Sell

BP plc (NYSE: BP) 2% HIGHER; Morgan Stanley upgrades to Overweight

General Mills (NYSE: GIS) 2% LOWER; reports Q4 earnings of $0.73 per share, ex-items, in-line with the consensus of $0.73. Revenues came in at $3.47 billion, versus the consensus of $3.37 billion. Sees FY09 EPS of $3.78-$3.83 versus the consensus of $3.84.

Monsanto Co. (NYSE: MON) 2% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $1.45, 11 cents better than the analyst estimate of $1.34. Revenues for the quarter were $3.59 billion, versus the consensus of $3.71 billion. Sees FY08 EPS of about $3.63, or $3.40 on an ongoing basis. The Street expects EPS of $3.39.
