Vanda Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: VNDA) 18.8% HIGHER; said it no longer intends to offer convertible senior notes. Shares of Vanda sank 26% yesterday after announce plans to offer $100M in convertible senior notes.
Cogent (Nasdaq: COGT) 16% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.04, cents better than the analyst consensus of $0.09. Revenues for the quarter were $22.5 million, versus the consensus of $30.14 million.
GB&T Bancshares, Inc. (Nasdaq: GBTB) 15% HIGHER; SunTrust Banks, Inc. (NYSE: STI) announced a definitive agreement to acquire GB&T Bancshares in a stock for stock deal. Under the terms of the agreement announced today, GB&T shareholders would receive .1562 shares of SunTrust common stock for each share of GB&T common stock held. Based on SunTrust's closing price of $69.13 on Nov. 1, 2007, and the 14,230,796 shares of GB&T outstanding as of October 31, 2007, the transaction value would be approximately $153.7 million
Itron (Nasdaq: ITRI) 14% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.65, below the analyst consensus of $0.77. Revenues for the quarter were $434 million, versus the consensus of $444.4 million.
Cepheid (Nasdaq: CPHD) 13% HIGHER; Reports Q3 results
Investools (Nasdaq: SWIM) 12.6% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.19, 9 cents better than the analyst consensus of $0.10. Revenues for the quarter were $84 million, versus the consensus of $77.8 million.
Las Vegas Sands (NYSE: LVS) 12.5% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.12, 19 cents lower than the analyst consensus of $0.31. Revenues for the quarter were $661 million, versus the consensus of $783 million.
American Reprographics (NYSE: ARP) 12.5% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.35, 4 cents worse than the analyst consensus of $0.39. Revenues for the quarter were $176.2 million, versus the consensus of $180.69 million.

Evergreen Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ: ESLR) 5% HIGHER; ThinkEquity upgrades ESLR from Accumulate to Buy with a $20 price target.
Immersion Corp (Nasdaq: IMMR) 9% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.02, 4 cents better than the analyst consensus of ($0.02) Revenues for the quarter were $9.8 million, versus the consensus of $9 million.

CA Inc (NYSE: CA) 5.8% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.32, 6 cents better than the analyst consensus of $0.26. Revenues for the quarter were $1.06 billion, versus the consensus of $1.01 billion. CA expects FY08 EPS of $1.06 to $1.10, versus the consensus of $1.00.

CROCS Inc. (Nasdaq: CROX) 3% HIGHER; Announces 1M share buyback. Yesterday, the stock dropped 36% after disappointing results.
Kinetic Concepts Inc. (NYSE: KCI) 1.4% HIGHER; will replace Pogo Producing Co. (NYSE: PPP) in the S&P MidCap 400 after the close of trading on Tuesday, November 6

Magellan Health (Nasdaq: MGLN) INDICTED HIGHER; reports Q3 earnings of $0.63 per share, 28 cents better than the consensus of $0.35. Revenues rose 30% to $558.1 million versus the consensus of $539.9 million. Magellan Health sees FY07 EPS of $2.13-$2.39 above the consensus of $1.73.
