March 31, 2014 12:31 PM EDT
Speaking on his own microblogging account, one Chinese central bank official aired more skepticism over Bitcoin today.

On SINA (Nasdaq: SINA) Weibo, Zhang Niannian likened Bitcoin exchanges to casinos, the WSJ reported Monday. The official posted several rhetorical questions, including, Aren't you afraid that a bitcoin platform will leave with your money? ... Do you think the court would protect you?

Zhang added, Cherish life, walk away from bitcoin.

Zhang's official position on Bitcoing with the People's Bank of China hasn't been made clear.
