Markets Pares Ealry Losses; Fed Reports Moderate Growth Amid Shutdown

U.S. markets have largely pared losses Wednesday afternoon after being in red a good chunk of the session.

In part, the Fed said this afternoon that the U.S. experienced partial growth amid the recent 16-day government shutdown and observed a stronger manufacturing sector. For more from the Beige Book, click here.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 4 points, the S&P 500 is about flat, and the Nasdaq is up 6 points.
