Fed's Lockhart Fearful of European Fallout, Says More Fed Action May Be Needed

Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta President Dennis Lockhart earlier said there could be more Operation Twist in the works for the Fed.

In addition, Lockhart commented:
- the uncertain macro environment should put the Fed on a state of readiness;
- risks to U.S. economic outlook are rising, though he still expects the recovery to continue;
- he's more worried about the negative influence of Europe on the U.S.;
- rates will be low when tightening begins; and
- fresh action may be needed on continued weakness.
