Nonfarm productivity for Q1 (preliminary) fell 0.5%, vs. the economist estimate of a 0.6% drop. The prior reading was revised higher from an initial 0.9% increase to a rise of 1.2%.
Unit labor costs for the quarter were up 2%, vs. the consensus estimate of 2.7%.
