Initial jobless claims for the week ended May 5th fell to 367,000, which compares to the economist estimate of 368,000. The prior week reading was revised from an initial 365,000 to 368,000.
Continuing claims for the week ended April 28th totaled 3.229 million, versus the Street consensus estimate of 3.275 million.
