Initial jobless claims for the week ended May 26th totaled 383,000, which compares to the economist estimate of 370,000. The prior week reading was revised higher from 370,000 to 373,000.
Continuing claims for the week ended May 19th were 3.242 million, which compares to the Street estimate of 3.25 million.
