Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta President Dennis Lockhart earlier said there could be more Operation Twist in the works for the Fed.

In addition, Lockhart commented:
  • the uncertain macro environment should put the Fed on a state of readiness;
  • risks to U.S. economic outlook are rising, though he still expects the recovery to continue;
  • he's more worried about the negative influence of Europe on the U.S.;
  • rates will be low when tightening begins; and
  • fresh action may be needed on continued weakness.
