Chesapeake's (CHK) McClendon Sees US Gas Output Falling by 4% This Year
Speaking at an analyst meeting currently being held, Chesapeake Energy's (NYSE: CHK) Aubrey McClendon is making headlines:
- sees higher gas prices in 2010
- believes U.S. gas production peaked at 60 bcf/d
- the U.S. won't have "adequate" gas storage by fall of 2010
- "gas prices must rise to meet demand next winter"
- "U.S. gas output will fall 4% this year", and
- "gas output will fall 5-6 bcf/d or 10% by early summer 2010"
