Vivendi (VIVDY) Reports Stronger H110 Results, Activision (ATVI) Sees Upside on the Numbers
Vivendi (OTCBB: VIVDY) reports their results for the first half of 2010, sending shares of Activision into the green today. Vivendi's OTC ADR shares are up 5.6% to $24.44 so far today, and Activision (Nasdaq: ATVI) is 1.9% to $10.88 on the session.
VIVDY posted revs of €13.98 billion, and increase of 6.1% from €13.18 billion for the same period last year. Adjusted net income was €1.53 billion, compared to €1.47 billion in H109. EPS was €1.03, versus €1.01 for the same period a year ago.
ATVI's revs for the first half were €1.70 billion, up 14.1% from . Results were fueled in part by sales of Call of Duty and World of Warcraft video games. Their "Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty" game sold 1.5 million units in the first 48 hours of its July 27, 2010, release, making it the fastest selling strategy game of all time. Activision is expected to report a FY10 non-GAAP EPS of $0.72 on net revs of $4.4 billion.
