Unusual 11 Mid-Day Movers 10/22: RDCM, HTE, SDXC, SXI Higher; TQNT, NWK, WSTL, PTEC Lower

RADCOM Ltd. (NASDAQ: RDCM) 63% HIGHER; shares have been extremely volatile over the last 3 trading sessions: on Tuesday, the stock surged more than 85%, and yesterday, shares plunged 24%. Today, the stock appears to be moving on news that the company has unveiled its Smartphone Service Optimization solution for cellular data networks, however, the stock could be moving strictly on momonteum.

Harvest Energy Trust (NYSE: HTE) 32.5% HIGHER; late last night announced that it has entered into an agreement with Korea National Oil Corporation for the purchase of all the issued and outstanding trust units at a price of C$10.00 per Unit for a total cash consideration of approximately C$1.8 billion plus the assumption of C$2.3 billion of debt. The stock was also upgraded at UBS, Citi and RBC Capital.

Switch & Data Facilities Company, Inc. (Nasdaq: SDXC) 27.9% HIGHER; Equinix, Inc. (Nasdaq: EQIX) and Switch & Data have entered a definitive agreement for Equinix to acquire Switch and Data in a transaction valued at approximately $689 million in cash and stock, based on yesterday's market close.

TriQuint Semiconductor (NASDAQ: TQNT) 26.2% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.10, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.10. Revenue for the quarter was $173 million, which compares to the estimate of $176.60 million. TriQuint sees Q4 EPS of $0.10-$0.12, versus $0.13 consensus. Sees Q4 sales of $175-$185 million versus $187.7 million. Also, DA Davidson downgraded the stock from Buy to Neutral.

Network Equipment Technologies Inc. (NYSE: NWK) 25.2% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.11 loss, 2 cents worse than the analyst estimate of $0.09 loss. Revenue for the quarter was $19.8 million, which compares to the estimate of $21.3 million.

Westell Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: WSTL) 24.5% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.04, inline with the analyst estimate of $0.04 and compared to a loss of $0.07 in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $47.4 million, which compares to the estimate of $48.45 million.

Phoenix Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: PTEC) 21.8% LOWER; reports Q4 loss of $0.15, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.06). Revenue for the quarter was $17.23 million, which compares to the estimate of $18.91 million. The stock was also downgraded to Hold at Needham.

Standex International Corp. (NYSE: SXI) 20.8% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.75 non-GAAP, versus the analyst estimate of $0.16. Only 1 analyst covers Standex. The same period last year saw Standex with an EPS of $0.71, non-GAAP. Revenue for the quarter was $152.10 million, which compares to the estimate of $149.51 million.

Ambassadors Group Inc. (Nasdaq: EPAX) 19.3% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.64, 7 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.57.

New York Times Co. (NYSE: NYT) 16.9% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.16 ex-items, cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.01). Revenue for the quarter was $570.60 million, which compares to the estimate of $561.60 million.

F5 Networks (NASDAQ: FFIV) 15.6% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.50, cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.41. Revenue for the quarter was $175.10 million, which compares to the estimate of $163.74 million. Sees Q110 EPS non-GAAP $0.47- $0.49. Q110 revenue target of $182 to $187 million. This morning, the stock has been upgraded at UBS, MKM Partners and Canaccord Adams.
