UPDATE: Westport Innovations, Inc. (WPRT) Reports Q3 Loss of $0.30, Offers FY12 Sales Guidance

Westport Innovations, Inc. (NASDAQ: WPRT) reported Q3 EPS of ($0.30), $0.04 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.26). Revenue for the quarter rose 155% from last year $100.6 million versus the consensus estimate of $58.34 million. The company also sees FY2012 revenue above Wall Street views.
Net loss attributed to the Company was $14.5 million ($0.30 loss per share) for the quarter compared to a net loss of $13.5 million ($0.31 loss per share) for the same period last year.
Adjusted EBITDA (a non-GAAP measure) for the quarter was negative $1.4 million compared to negative $7.5 million for the same period in 2010.
Reported cash and short term investments balance as at December 31, 2011 of $85.7 million
Westport Innovations, Inc. sees FY2012 revenue of $400-$425 million, above the consensus of $346.96 million.
