Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE: CMG) reported Q4 EPS of $1.95, $0.01 worse than the analyst estimate of $1.96. Revenue for the quarter rose 17.2% to $699.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $698.86 million. Comparable restaurant sales increased 3.8%.
Today's numbers were in-line with Chipotle Mexican's January 16th lowered guidance, when the company said they see diluted earnings per share in the range of $1.92 to $1.97 and revenues of $699.2 million.
Looking to 2013, management expects the following: 165 – 180 new restaurant openings; Flat to low single digit comparable restaurant sales excluding additional menu price increases; An effective full year tax rate of approximately 38.5%
