"CENX's primary aluminum capacity currently stands at 785,000 tonnes. The Company owns and operates a 244,000 tonne plant at Hawesville, Kentucky, a 170,000 tonne plant at Ravenswood, West Virginia, and the plant at Grundartangi, Iceland. Century also owns a nearly 50% interest in a 222,000 tonne reduction plant at Mt. Holly, South Carolina. Alcoa Inc. owns the remainder and is the operating partner. "CENX last month announced that the sale of its 50% joint venture ownership positions in Gramercy Alumina LLC and St. Ann Bauxite Limited to Noranda Aluminum Holding Corporation was completed on August 31. With the closing of this transaction, Century has divested itself of its entire interest in these businesses. Century Aluminum Company owns primary aluminum capacity in the United States and Iceland. Century's corporate offices are located in Monterey, California."
