After the close, Spreadtrum Communications Inc. (NASDAQ: SPRD) reported Q1 EPS of $0.55, $0.10 better than the analyst estimate of $0.45. Revenue for the quarter came in at $137.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $132.33 million.
Spreadtrum currently expects revenue for the second quarter of 2011 to be in the range of US$152 million - US$158 million with gross margin of approximately 42%. The consensus is $139 million.
