Sony (SNE) Reports Modest Increase in Q4 Sales; Net Loss Narrows; Guides FY13 Expectations

Sony Corp. (NYSE: SNE) reported fourth-quarter operating loss of ¥1.4 billion, up ¥72 billion from the same period last year.
Sales rose 1.2 percent to ¥1.6 trillion.
Net loss improved ¥133.6 billion to ¥255.2 billion.
Looking ahead, Sony sees FY13 sales of ¥7.4 trillion, up 14 percent from FY11. Net loss should narrow to ¥300 million.
