Semiconductor Manufacturing (SMI) Tops Q3 EPS by 4c

Semiconductor Manufacturing (NYSE: SMI) reported Q3 EPS of $0.10, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.06. Revenue for the quarter came in at $569.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $557.5 million.

  • Revenue to increase by 3% to 6% quarter over quarter.
  • Gross margin to range from 28% to 30%.

  • Non-controlling interests of our majority-owned subsidiaries to range from positive $33 million to positive $36 million (losses to be borne by non-controlling interests).
