Rite Aid (RAD) Tops Q2 EPS by 2c; Comps Flat; Issues FY12 Revs Outlook

Rite Aid (NYSE: RAD) reported Q2 EPS of ($0.05), $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.07). Revenue for the quarter came in at $6.2 billion versus the consensus estimate of $6.2 billion.

Same store sales for the quarter were flat over the prior year 13-week period, consisting of a 1.4 percent increase in front end sales offset by a 0.7 percent decrease in pharmacy sales.

Rite Aid sees FY2012 revenue of $25.1-25.4 billion, versus the consensus of $25.4 billion.
