New Oriental Education (EDU) Tops Q4 EPS by 3c; Guides Q1 Sales; Enrollments Up 7.7%

New Oriental Education & Technology (NYSE: EDU) reported Q4 EPS of $0.15, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.12. Revenue for the quarter came in at $193.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $187.13 million.

Total student enrollments in academic subjects tutoring and test preparation courses increased by 7.7% year-over-year to approximately 527,000 from approximately 489,100 in the same period of the prior fiscal year.

Sees Q1 2013 revenue of $342.7-$356.3 million, versus the consensus of $354.4 million.
