LookSmart Announces Appointment of Jean-Yves Dexmier as Executive Chairman of Board of Directors

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 2, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LookSmart, Ltd. (Nasdaq: LOOK), an online search advertising network solutions company, today announced the appointment of Jean-Yves Dexmier as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. Dr. Dexmier succeeds Mark Sanders, who will remain on the Company's Board of Directors and serve on the Audit Committee and as Chair of the Compensation Committee.

Dr. Dexmier has served on the Company's Board of Directors since April of 2007. Dr. Dexmier brings over thirty years of executive leadership experience within the technology industry including, most recently, as Chief Financial Officer of Openwave, Chief Executive Officer of Agentis Software, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Informix Software, and Chief Financial Officer of Octel Corporation.
