Health Net, Inc. (NYSE: HNT) reported Q2 EPS of $1.48, $0.82 better than the analyst estimate of $0.66. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.84 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.8 billion.
For the second quarter of 2012, the company’s Western Region Operations (Western Region) and Government Contracts segments produced combined net earnings of $15.9 million, or $0.19 per diluted share, compared with $71.0 million, or $0.77 per diluted share, for the second quarter of 2011.
Health Net, Inc. sees FY2012 EPS of $1.00-$1.10, versus prior guidance of $2.35-$2.50 and the consensus of $2.28 and revenue of $11.0-$11.5 billion versus the consensus of $11.25 billion.
