HCA Holdings (HCA) Tops Q2 EPS by 7c; Comp Admissions Up 3.9%; Reaffirms Outlook

HCA Holdings (NYSE: HCA) reported Q2 EPS of $0.85, $0.07 better than the analyst estimate of $0.78. Revenue for the quarter came in at $8.11 billion versus the consensus estimate of $8.83 billion.
Same facility equivalent admissions increased 3.9 percent in the second quarter of 2012 compared to the prior year period, while same facility admissions increased 2.5 percent. Emergency room visits increased 8.8 percent in the second quarter of 2012, on a same facility basis, compared to the prior year period.
HCA Holdings reaffirmed FY2012 guidance.
