First Solar (FSLR) Posts Q3 EPS of $0.87; Lowers FY Rev Guidance, Maintains EPS

First Solar (NASDAQ: FSLR) reported Q3 EPS of $0.87, which includes benefits and does not compare to the analyst estimate of $0.64. Revenue for the quarter came in at $889 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.05 billion.

First Solar maintained FY2014 EPS of $2.40-$2.80, versus the consensus of $2.61. The company also maintained operating cash flow guidance of $300 to $500 million. First Solar sees FY2014 revenue of $3.7-4.0 billion, versus prior guidance of $3.6-3.9 billion and the consensus of $3.77 billion.

“Following the project delays experienced in the prior quarter, our third quarter earnings have improved, and we continue to make progress towards our financial targets for the year,” said Jim Hughes, CEO of First Solar. “Our year to date book-to-bill ratio is well above our objective of a one-to-one ratio, and we are on track to meet or exceed our bookings goal for the year.”
