FEI (FEIC) Tops Q3 EPS by 6c; Guides Above for Q4

FEI (Nasdaq: FEIC) reports Q3 (non-GAAP) EPS of $0.31, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.25. Revenue for the quarter was $153 million, which compares to the estimate of $153.76 million.

Assuming a euro exchange rate of $1.40, FEI expects net sales in the fourth quarter of 2010 to be in the range of $167 million to $175 million. (Consensus is $162.96M)

GAAP earnings per share are expected to be in the range of $0.34 to $0.39. Restructuring charges are estimated to be approximately $1 million or $0.02 per share in the quarter and are included in the GAAP guidance. (Consensus is $0.31)

Bookings are expected to be at least $170 million.
