Express (EXPR) Misses Q1 EPS by 2c; Comps Up 4%; Cuts FY12 EPS Outlook, Guides Q2

Express (NYSE: EXPR) reported Q1 EPS of $0.47, $0.02 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.49. Revenue for the quarter came in at $496 million versus the consensus estimate of $503.17 million.

Comparable sales increased 4%.

Express sees FY2012 EPS of $1.79-$1.89, versus the consensus of $1.95. Express previously expected EPS of $1.84 to $1.97.

Express sees Q2 2012 EPS of $0.15-$0.18, versus the consensus of $0.20.
