Dollar Tree (DLTR) Reports Solid Q3 Results; Comps Up 8.7%; Raises Q4, FY10 Outlooks

Dollar Tree, Inc. (Nasdaq: DLTR) reports Q3 EPS of $0.73, 11 cents better than the consensus of $0.62. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.43 billion, compared to the consensus of $1.38 billion.

Comps up 8.7%.

Raises its Q4 sales guidance to $1.72-$1.76 billion, with EPS of $1.20-$1.27. The Street is looking for quarterly sales of $1.72 billion with EPS of $1.24.

FY10 sales are expected to be $5.88-$5.92 billion, vs. the consensus of $5.83 billion. EPS are expected to be $3.14-$3.21, which compares to the Street estimate of $3.08.
