Dick's Sporting Goods (DKS) Sales and EPS Top Views; Raises Low End of FY Guidance

Dick's Sporting Goods Inc. (NYSE: DKS) reports Q1 EPS of $0.11, ex-items, above the consensus of $0.07. Revenues came in at $959.7 million, versus the consensus of $911.85 million.

The Company believes that the remainder of the year will continue to be challenging. However, based on the first quarter results and the Company's expectations for the second quarter, it is raising the low end of its annual earnings estimates and increasing the expected same store sales for 2009.

Dick's Sporting Q2 EPS of $0.28-$0.31, versus the consensus of $0.30. Sees Q2 Comparable store sales down 9%-6%

Dick's Sporting FY EPS of $0.88-$1.00, versus the consensus of $0.92. Sees FY Comparable store sales down 9%-6%.
