Century Aluminum Co (NASDAQ: CENX) reported Q1 EPS of ($0.04) vs. the analyst estimate of ($0.17)(May not be comparable). Revenue for the quarter came in at $326.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $324.24 million.

Financial results were negatively impacted by an unrealized loss on forward contracts of $5.0 million primarily related to the mark to market of aluminum price protection options. Cost of sales for the quarter included a $17.1 million benefit for lower of cost or market inventory adjustments.
