Carnival Corp. (CCL) Tops Q1 EPS by 7c; Guides FY16 EPS Inline with Views

Carnival Corp. (NYSE: CCL) reported Q1 EPS of $0.39, $0.07 better than the analyst estimate of $0.32. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.65 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.63 billion.

GUIDANCE:

Carnival sees Q2 EPS of $0.34 - $0.38, compared with consensus estimates calling for $0.38. Second quarter constant currency net revenue yields are expected to increase 1.5 to 2.5 percent compared to the prior year. Net cruise costs excluding fuel per ALBD for the second quarter are expected to be up 0.5 to 1.5 percent on a constant currency basis compared to the prior year.

Carnival Corp. sees FY2016 EPS of $3.20-$3.40, versus the consensus of $3.36.

Carnival also said: At this time, cumulative advance bookings for the remainder of 2016 are well ahead of the prior year at slightly higher prices. Since January, booking volumes for the remainder of the year are running ahead of last year's historically high levels at higher prices.
