Brown-Forman (BFA) Reports Lower Q4 Results; Guides FY10

June 10, 2009 7:57 AM EDT

Brown-Forman Corporation (NYSE: BFA) (NYSE: BFB) reports Q1 EPS of $0.53, compared to $0.65 in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter was $683.3 million, versus $772..3 million in Q08.

Sees FY10 non-GAAP EPS of $2.72-$3.12.

Reported results are expected to be significantly impacted by the dramatic strengthening the U.S. dollar experienced in the middle of fiscal 2009. At recent spot rates, fiscal 2010 earnings per share would be reduced by approximately $0.12, net of hedged foreign currency exposure.
